Thanks and Questions
Hello there. My name is Gregory and my user name on the livejournal site is
andragon.
I wanted to take a moment and say thank you. I'm so grateful to you and all
of the others that support the site. I wish that I'd found it ages ago! It's
such a wonderful idea. It offers a way for people to connect that otherwise
they might not have through other channels on the Internet. I know that from
time to time there's problems with the site; however, you all do a hell of a
job working to get it resolved. Not only that, but it's one of the few sites
on the 'net that actually listens to user input! Thank you! I'm very
grateful to help support such a wonderful site. And, I've been trying to get
several others to sign up for accounts on here as well so that I can pay for
them and offer more assistance in making the site better than ever!!
I also wanted to ask for your assistance on a couple of very minor items as
well. Just take your time. I'm not even going to ask you to hurry since I
know that you're already busy working on many other issues. Please feel free
to forward this E-mail to whomever is supporting the object in question. A
site this big is supported on the backs of many people.
I signed up an account to become a Community account and a "shared" journal
as a result. The name of the account is Tarot. I wanted to make sure that I
didn't mess anything up in the set up. It was way too easy. I didn't have
any problems following the steps to make it a community. However, I'm not
going to assume that I did it correctly. I would like for my livejournal
account, andragon, to be the only account that has admin rights to make
changes to the Tarot community. I've also added another user, Wyndwyck, to
be able to post within the journal. Please let me know if I've done
everything correctly and the community is fully ready to go.
I also want to say that I think that it's totally GREAT that you've added
the feature that allows for other users to send text messages to pagers and
cell phones. What a wonderful stroke of pure genius! I set myself up to
receive text messages today. I even sent a test page to make sure that it
really did work. Unfortunately, you said that we should contact you if
there's another service provider that wasn't on the drop down list to set
everything up with just selecting it. Right now, I've got the full Internet
E-mail address that will send me a page. For Ameritech pager customers with
text option, you just send an E-mail address is the following format:
10-digit-phone-number@paging.acswireless.com. It just asks the from and the
message for the Email. There is a 120 character limit for both the from and
the message. All characters after this are ignored of course.
http://www.ameritech.com/products/wireless/messaging.html is the address
where one can choose between the cellular customers and the paging customers
just in case you need any more information that I've not provided. Thanks
again for offering this user connecting, friendly service.
Beyond that, I'm a overly thrilled livejournal customer. I look forward to
the challenges and fun that the site still has yet to offer. And once again,
thanks for all of your and your team of assistance's hard work to make it
one of the best sites, IMHO, on the 'net.
Love and Light,
Gregory aka andragon
